The London Mela first started in 2003 and now 15 years later the Mela lives and breathes culture, food, rides, music, dance and excitement.  

 

The Zee London Mela is a cultural festival inspired by South Asia, which hosts a wide variety of activities for the whole family. It is one of the only melas in the country to champion new work, and it provides a platform for emerging British artists as well as bringing traditional and classical art forms to a wider audience. 

 

Critically acclaimed, the ZEE London Mela introduces the best in classical music, British Asian urban artists, dance, comedy and cabaret, Asian-influenced street theatre and circus, as well as exhibitions. And, with a third of the audience from non-Asian communities, it is a truly intercultural family event with something for every generation of every community.
